Sara Claire

I was born in Athens, Georgia and was adopted at birth from two amazing parents and grew up in Thomasville, Georgia. I attended the University of Alabama for my Bachelor’s in Arts and Sciences and Samford University for my Master’s in Science. My mom is a pediatrician and owns her own practice and she has inspired me to this type of career. I have clinical experience and knowledge of treating and diagnosing articulation, language, stuttering, and social pragmatic disorders. I have a high interest in learning about and treating childhood apraxia of speech.

Hobbies: When I am not working, I enjoy traveling all over the world and the country. I have a deep love for music and feel that it brings healing and joy. In the recent years I have developed a love for bluegrass that inspired me to learn guitar. I love to sing and play guitar for my friends and family. I have a golden retriever named Miles who loves to play and go for walks! I love to go fly fishing in the outer banks and in the mountains. When I have time, I love to play golf and love to go to golf tournaments! I love spending time with my boyfriend Adam King, who is from Savannah! We absolutely love Universal Studios! If we’re not riding the Velocicoaster, then we might be at a football game! Roll Dawgs!

I love my job because…
I get to spread love and joy. I love helping kids learn how to express themselves. Everyone has a voice that deserves to be heard. Witnessing first words, first looks, first steps (thank you PT), lots of firsts- it never ever gets old. I love my job in savannah because of the diversity of life I get to embrace. Not only are my clients and families learning about communication, but I have learned so much from the families I’ve worked with in so many ways. It is truly an honor to be apart of this team and to be apart of your lives.
